EMET School Counsellor

Scale SO2: £26,304.43 - £27,844.64

37 hours per week, term time only (39 weeks)

Based at The EMET Office, The West Bridgford School, Nottinghamshire

Working alongside both Primary and Secondary Schools, the School Counsellor will provide support, guidance and advice to parents, carers and the schools, contributing to the safeguarding and promotion of the welfare and personal care of children and young people.

You will have experience of delivering group sessions and also providing one to one programmes, in order to address the needs of students, in understanding and overcoming social, behavioural or academic problems.

In return, you will receive 27 days’ holiday plus bank holidays and will have access to the Local Government Pension Scheme.  Holiday entitlement rises to 32 days and 34 days after 5 and 10 years of service respectively.

The successful candidate will have to meet the requirements of the person specification in order to be offered the post, will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check and must be eligible to work in the UK.
